Welcome to Royston Heath Archery Club
The Royston Heath Archery Club is a small and friendly club with around 40 members. We are all keen amateurs and we love to talk about archery and introduce archery to new people.
We are a target archery club and currently have members that shoot a range of different bow types, including recurve, longbow and compound. We are limited by the facilities so we can't shoot field or clout archery but if you are interested in these we can try to find a suitable club.
The RHAC is affiliated to Archery GB (formerly known as the Grand National Archery Society, GNAS, of Great Britain) and we shoot according to their rules. Abiding by their rules gives the necessary insurance cover.
Shooting regular rounds allows you to gain and maintain your handicap. Though many members confine their shooting to our club rounds on the Heath, there are also opportunities to take part in local competitions. We recently have had a junior member shoot in national competitions.
Archery GB does not discriminate and offers equal opportunities to all. The RHAC does not have expertise to accommodate all ages, disabilities or skill levels but we will try to put you in contact with experts. For example, if you want to become county or even an Olympic archer and you show sufficient talent then we can put you in contact with suitable squads and coaches. The club has an Archery GB qualified coach and a number of experienced archers.
