County Team Championships 2017

Seven members of the club took part in the Hertfordshire County Team Championships on Sunday. After travelling to Welwyn for the competition our archers joined 79 others in shooting the World Archery 25m round. With five archers equaling or surpassing their personal best, a good day was had by most. In the end, a strong team from Abbey were declared the winners on 2090 points however our team of Jack (524), Mike (514), Deborah (501) and Andrew (478) managed to shoot our way to the podium for the second time in the last three events by winning bronze. It was a doubly good day for Deborah, who also finished second in the ladies recurve event, missing out on first by only 3 points. Well done to all involved.
