History of the Club

The club formed around 1995 and uses facilities on Royston Heath (also known as Therefield Heath.) It has always been a small and friendly club and has introduced many people to archery.

On Sunday the 18th of March 2012 we started shooting on our own range on the Heath, where previously we had made use of the Rugby pitch. This new range not only means that we can shoot more often and at our own convenience, but that we can shoot the longer distances needed to progress to higher classifications.

In January 2014 we also began regular Winter indoor shooting on Thursday evenings at Freman College, Buntingford. This continued until the 2016-17 indoor season when we moved to a new longer range at Melbourn Village College.

In December 2015 we formally changed the club colours from green to black with gold trim and new kit was obtained in March 2016.
