HAA Summer League September 2017

Royston Heath’s recurve team finished our third season in the HAA Summer League with a hard fought victory against Elswood Bowmen in St. Albans this afternoon. With swirling wind a constant adversary and a spattering of rain for good measure, conditions certainly did not encourage a high scoring affair. However our recurve team were able to grind out a victory, scoring 2573 points to Elswood’s 2489. Our team today consisted of Michael Wright (574), Deborah Martin (555 – Ladies Recurve Club Record), Jack Corps (515), Martin Arber (490) and Andrew Cox (439). We finish the season with 2 wins and 3 loses. The final standings for the HAA Summer League will be announced once all the September fixtures have been completed.
